Launch Day #3

Is everyone ready for DAY #3?!! Well, first things first....

Day 2 Winner:

Kimberly said...
I would like to know what program to buy that is less complicated. One that is easy for hybrid scrapping rather than "full blown" programs for digital. I am a paper scrapper but recently have fallen into printing digitals. I would just like to alter some of the colors on the printables and know I need a program to do this. Also, included in this...pricing information would be a plus.
2.3.09

Please email your full name and mailing address to thescrapreview@hotmail.com so we can send out your prize!

Now back to the FUN...If you have looked around our site already you may have realized that here at TSR we know that you, as a consumer, are the ones who are calling the shots. This site won't work for you if we don't report on what YOU want to know about. So each day of this launch, our comments will be based on a certain theme and the products in that theme you are interested in seeing reviewed.

But first, today's prize....

Purse Book with Drawstring Bag from Chatterbox.
How cute is this little chipboard album with different cut-out shapes. And a matching bag?!! Shut the DOOR!

To be eligible to win, please:

- leave a comment on this post telling us which PAPER LINES you would like to see creations made from by our amazing TSR staff in the future. Do you like the old favorites like Basic Grey or does newcomer Jillibean Soup or Bella Blvd float your boat?

- comment must be posted today by MIDNIGHT PST/3:00AM EST.

(Sorry, this drawing is NOT eligible for International shipment)

Cannot wait to see what you gals do!

Dee Tollaksen said...

My suggestion would be to duplicate each project in 2 or 3 different brands of papers so we can see how one layout or design looks when different products are used.

Anything by Bo Bunny...love their lines.

Congrats Kimberly! And now to answer the question I am not partial to a manufacturer or another but I do like graphic and bright papers.

My favorite papers are SEI- I love the idea a poster gave above of doing the same layout in a couple of different papers - so we can see the difference.

I love Bela Blvd., I would love to see what your team can do with the fun cupcake paper.

I would like to see projects from My Little Shoebox. I just discovered them and I really love their paper! I also really like your blog!!!!!!

Kellie D. said...

There are so many wonderful new lines out right now that it is hard to choose one. My Mind's Eye, Basic Grey, Teresa Collins, Seven Gypsies, Graphic 45. All different and unique. The collection packs make it easy to coordinate, so I guess the ones that don't have collection packs would be nice to see ideas made up from. I love paper and love to collect as many as possible, but always hate to use the last piece!!

Cassi said...

Graphic 45, October Afternoon, Collage Press. New and fresh is always good e.g. Kraft Kuts from Fancy Pants, etc.

Susan said...

I am liking Making Memories Spring Fling right now. October Afternoon, Little Yellow Bicycle ..

Abbey S. said...

I love Jenni Bowlin, October Afternoon, Making Memories, Sassafras Lass --- but it is probably the less recognized companies that would be more fun to see used!

My thoughts are that the newer lines need to be spotlighted. Alot of us dont know about them and seeing them will allow us to ask for them at our LSS. Some lines that come to mind are Bella Blvd, Jillibean and Graphic 45.

Wendy said...

I love October Afternoon, Graphic 45, Teresa Collins, and Bo Bunny for starters! LOL

Jenny B in Indy said...

OOOOOH.. This would SO be awesome for pics of my little guy!

I'd love to see more BOYISH paper used. I've seen a ton of girly designs lately but not much boy. As the Mama to (only) one little boy, this interests me. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Kelly Goree's blog because she focuses on little boy LO's.
Don't get me wrong, I love girly things but, don't always like putting flowers on my little boy layouts. KWIM?

So I'd really like to see you use the new little boy/Mama paper by Prima, Basic Grey Lime Rickey, Sass Lass Bungle Jungle, this new Chatterbox line and anything else BOYish :)

Christine said...

Pink Paislee, October Afternoon and Cosmo Cricket are my faves, but anything you show I'm interested in!

Unlikely Kreator said...

K & Company? Cause I recently bought a bunch of them.

Thanks!

jennie said...

I would like to see what to do with paper that is so pretty, its like a piece of art in itself. Like Websters Pages, or Sassafras.
I buy it, and then just want to stare at it and have no clue how to make a layout of it!

Aimee said...

i am a lover of cosmo cricket. anything cosmo, give it to me baby.

Valerie G said...

I would love to see projects done with Cosmo Cricket and Basic Grey. I like seeing other people's creations using papers that I might not have thought would go together.

Penny Smith said...

How about one oldie but goody, and one smaller fabulous company...

American Crafts-I am LOVIN' Some of their fabulous colorful new lines...

And The Paper Trunk! Fabulous, and they do what they can to use recycled!

Roxanne said...

Tough one to choose!
I'd love to be inspired with some of the Sassafrass. I love theh paper, but often get stumped with good ideas to do with it!

Heidi Y said...

My faves I would like to see are Basic Grey & American Crafts. For the new lines, it would be Yellow Bicycle... Thx!

Phoebe said...

Hmmm...My Little Shoebox is intriguing...a little like Sassafras, which I love! Love the new "Anthem" line from Sassafras Lass. And Cosmo Cricket and October Afternoon have some really fabulous new lines out as well. And I actually suggested Jillibean Soup supplies to my DT boss at AC Bailey and she started snagging their goodies for her kits. I haven't had the chance to work with them yet but I am in love with their cardstock alpha stickers!! Okay...guess I'd better stop now. :) Thanks for the chance to win!

Jillibean Jillibean Jillibean! And of course, I also adore cosmo cricket and basic grey!

Katie Scott said...

I would like to see more of a focus on stories and preserving memories and less of a focus on the latest and greatest products. BUT with that said, I really love the new Sassafrass Lass paper pads I found at the craft store last night :)

Shemaine said...

A few of my favs Crate paper, Graphic 45, October Afternoon and Pink Paisley. I am sure the DT will RAWK all these!

AngMomof3 said...

I'd love to see more ideas from My Minds Eye and American Crafts... but love Basic Grey too!

I'm sure I'll love whatever your staff will create with ANY paper. They're all so very talented!

Tina said...

I would be THRILLED to see projects using some of my favorites...

AUTUMN LEAVES - I adore their Manhattan papers! Absolutely my favorite line, but I rarely see anyone use them. Show the love, ScrapReview!!

K & COMPANY - Of course, who can resist Brenda Walton and Amy Butler papers? I can't, that's for sure. Sola is the best!

BASIC GREY - I'll never get tired of -any- of their lines or fun ways to use them. Always so refreshing and one step ahead of the rest.

SCENIC ROUTE - My favorite mod designs! Again, any of their lines, I'm head over heels for them all. Sarah Milne is amazing. How she does it, I'll never know... but I want to see more, more, more!

PAPERTREY INK - I know, a stamp and ink company... but they do have some awfully cute patterned papers too. I love the simplicity of their designs, but how well they coordinate with everything. I especially like the Everyday Blessings and Men of Life lines.

I look forward to, hopefully, seeing some of these lines used in The Scrap Review projects!

-Tina

I'm not ever sure where to start with my comment. I love all pattern paper!

I would love to see some pretty vintage lines used. Graphic 45 comes to mind or Marks paper company.

I like where someone said to split it up and see what the different designers can do with the same papers.

angie worthington said...

awesome giveaway today!!!...

i would like to see several lines used...like, use an older company (one that has been around for several yrs) and then use a newer company like october afternnon or websters....then, of course, there is my all time favorite, pink paislee!...

I'm obviously seriously behind the times. I've never heard of several of the paper lines mentioned here. I must get out more! I'd love to see some of the newer lines shown so that I can get up to date.

I would love to see creations made from something "old" like Basic Grey's "bittersweet" coupled with
a brand new manufacturer-Jillibean Soup's "Minestrone. I think it would be neat to see the old mixed in with the new for all those who need to use their "old" stash. Fresh ideas are always welcome!
I would also like to see Pink Paislee coupled with another new company-Bella Blvds "Sweet Celebrations"! Plus, more mini album ideas using
papers from lines such as Scenic Route, W R Memory Keepers....anything more vintage looking!

lynn029 said...

My fave is My Minds Eye, so would love to see projects with anything from them.

I was recently introduced to Black Market Paper Society, and I LOVE their paper! Very bold colors and patterns, and the texture is amazing!

Catherine said...

I'd love to see some Graphic 45, Pink Paislee and October Afternoon done up by your TSR staff.

PattiM said...

Let's see... That can be difficult because every time I see a new line I fall in love with it... I like Theresa Collins, October Afternoon, Basic Grey to name a few. And I love the material that has the same design as scrapbook paper, like Basic Grey. I've been buying some of the quarter charms material (less material and cheaper than the full quarters for quilting). I love using it on cards and LO's. So, I guess I'd like to see some of the pp above and some of the newer material thats coming out.

Hugs,

PattiM
