I would like to know some of the price differences...you know, kind of compare everything. I belong to Personal Scrapper, and so far I have loved it! My subscription is almonst up, so I would like to compare!!

I've been tempted to get into a kit club but would like to know which ones give design ideas with it.

I don't know what a kit club is so I am anxious to hear about it.

i have been tempted and have checked out the popular ones like scarlet lime and studio calico. i would love to know how prices compare with the benefits.

Are there any kit clubs that let you skip a month or two? I just don't scrap enough as it is, & to have a kit come every month only to sit & collect dust because iI'm behind or can't catch up seems like a waste of money.

I have tried a few kit clubs. I do like Memory Works. Which one is the most practical?

I've been tempted several times by kits clubs but I always hesitate because I'm not sure of the quality of the products included. I'd like to see various clubs compared by product quality, price, versitility, and club commmittment.

I love the monthly kits that Erica at ACBailey puts together....they are gorgeous, excellent price and chock full of the newest stuff

I couldn't find anywhere that it said which country YOU were in but I am assuming it is the U.S. Since I am in Canada that makes me ineligible for a prize(so what else is new LOL) but just wanted to comment anyways!!! This is a fabulous idea, I am bookmarking you and will be checking back often to read reviews!!! It is almost like a "try before you buy" deal!! Great work ladies and have a beautiful day!!!

I am always tempted to join a kit club, but my questions are, are they worth the money? About how many layouts can you get out of a kit? I have seen so many great kit websites, but committing to spend $35+ on a kit each month takes away my money to spend on other things...I would like to know what others think on this as well!

Susan said...

I have been tempted many times by a kit club. What are the real benefits of joining?

Stacy said...

I loved All Moments Remembered kit club. Heather did a fantastic job and it was so nice to have everything put together for me. They stopped doing kits because of issues with mail and companies not getting things to them in time. I would consider doing another kit club but not sure which one; probably one that I'm not required to subscribe to for a certain amount of months.

Kellie D. said...

Never tried a Kit Club before as I like to see what I buying before I sign up. It would be nice to have someone do the leg work to compare the different clubs. Thanks!

I have also been tempted by kit clibs but the putting the money out every month and then not possibly likeing 1 or 2 months tha come out have put me off. Are there any out there that have 2 or 3 kits a month that you may choose which one you want?

Gail C said...

I love kit clubs. I get a few. I used to get the Story of My Own (SOMO kit) by the folks at October Afternoon, I get the SEI kits, yes all of them- and I get the AC Bailey KOTM- they are GORGEOUS. I have tried Personal Scrapper and Cocoa Daisy and Back Porch Memories-these kits are AWESOME! What I like about kits is that they provide you with NEW product in small quantity to try out, they give you things to use tht you would not otherwise purchase or attempt to incorporate into your scrapping -but, since you "paid" for it, you try it- I have discovered many cool products this way. I also like the value of the kits, I feel I really get my monies worth. I also like the fact that they do the "matching work" for you- I have learned that you can step out of the box and do a layout incorporating pattern paper from more than one manufacturer and it WILL match! I also appreciate the kits that have directions- I do not use them as they are designed, but I do read them and often will pick up a new technique or two (especially the SEI one) if I did not use that technique or template with that kit, I will use it on another layout I do and I feel that stretched my kit dollar!

Kate Long said...

I've never been a member, and am moving overseas so I think this might be an easier way to "shop". There are SO MANY options not sure where to start.

Holly said...

For me, it's kind of a cost/benefit. how much do you pay for the kit, for shipping, and how much product do you actually get?

Nathalie said...

Well, being on two kit club DTs I have to say I love kit clubs!!! But I would enjoy seeing review of the lesser known ones, the little diamond in the rough out there that people haven't noticed yet :)

Ashley Harris said...

I have longed to be on a super fabulous kit club. I hear Studio Calico is one of those, my only question is, can you just buy the kits you want and not have to subscribe?

April V said...

I am intrigued by the different kit clubs. I belong to one, http://scrapetcscripts.blogspot.com/ it's from a local store, www.scrapetc.com. I love it for the most part. Sometimes I wish I could customize it. Are there any kits out there that allow that?

Kimberly said...

I have belonged to several kit clubs in the past and today I sub to 3 clubs. Benefits are that I receive great papers that I would never get or are not offered at a store near me. I also enjoy the designs of the design team members using the same products in different ways to inspire me. I think it is a learning process on what ones needs are in scrapping to get the most out of the cost of kit club kits. Each club has a unique quality and audience of scrapper. One thing for sure, they allow me to scrap out of the box with the variety of patterned papers and embellishments. It is like a challenge in a box each month! LOVE IT.

ArlaMo said...

I subbed with Studio Calico and Scarlet Lime starting last summer. Both are fantastic. SC has the most amazing customer service!! I've checked out Jenni Bowlin's kit a couple of times and almost caved - haven't quite committed yet.

Carly said...

I have never joined a kit club. Do you have to join for a certain amount of time or can it be from month to month. Thanks!

AngMomof3 said...

I'm interested in learning more about Piggy Tales, or others where you can only get the product in a kit. It's intriguing to get "exclusive" products, but you want to know what your money is getting for you!

I would love to know if there are any kit clubs under $15.00 .This day and age I am trying to save money so that would help.

I have never even heard of a kit club, so I guess I need to know ALL about them! heehee!

I have thought about buying a kit...then froze and didn't buy. I still think it would be fun to get a little "surprise" in the mail each month, but just haven't done it yet. I'd love to hear positive stories about those who do buy them. I live in Canada...and I recall looking at the shipping costs of some kit clubs in the USA, as making it unaffordable for me. Maybe I'm just chicken?!

Stacy said...

I would love to know more about the Scarlet lime kits and if kits are really worth the money. Thanx. Stacy

Kristine in WA said...

Oooohhh I totally want to know more about kits. I mean really really good juicy kits. Ive never bought one but have been so tempted. I want to know which ones have lots of ideas to go along with the kit and the actual cost of getting into them. Im a bit overwhelmed by the commitment aspect without knowing (or seeing a review-wink) if it is really going to be a gem for me.

Tina said...

I would love to know what your recommendations are for which kit clubs. I have been tempted to join some, but am curious of the quality of the products. I also wonder if you end up using all the product or do you always have lots of leftovers?

Thanks,
Tina

I subscribe to my local ss's monthly kit. I tend to appreciate (as a beginner) the fact that someone else brought together a number of different manufacturers products along with the suggestion of a theme. I frequently check out other online kit clubs but have yet to take that leap beyond local...

Jewel said...

I have belonged to a few kit clubs in the past. I love the fact that you don't have to go to a store looking for the newest product and they put together everything for you. The kit club I belong to right now is Work In Progress. I love her kits - they are not all "matchy matchy" but coordinate well together. She updates her blog everday and sends out layouts from the design team every month for inspiration. I too am interested to see how much I would be spending if I were to buy these supplies separately.

mustangkayla said...

What I'm really curious about is if they price out at a better deal than if you bought all the pieces individually. If so, which clubs offer the best value!

Scrapycandy said...

I'd like to know how belonging to a club has changed people's scrapping or their style. I am definitely tempted but would be afraid that I would have too many items I would never use.

MotherofJackals said...

I'd really like to know the real low down on "kit value" maybe a price comparison with LSS prices to show a kit is either a good deal or not.

Jenn said...

I have been tempted to try a kit but I really don't want to join a club unless I can choose which monthly kits I can do. I know it's hard to please everyone but I would like the option to opt out one month if the kit is not my style. Maybe I'm missing the point of what a Kit Club is. Is there one out there that you can participate when you want?

Melinda AKA medialady said...

I have belonged to a local kit club and my membership is now up. The problem I had with the kits is I never seem to get around to completing them. I need some good ideas to keep me motivated to get these completed and should I decide to join another kit club, I think I would prefer to be able to skip a month every now and then.

Shanz said...

I have grown to love kits! I say grown, because at first they were really hard for me to work with. But by forcing myself, I have learned to scrap in a different way - which I LOVE!

I'm curious to know which kit clubs you girls feel are a great value as well as up with the current trends and such.

Thanks!

I've been tempted to join kit clubs a few times but each time, in the end, I'm just not sure it's worth it. There seems to be a kit club for every minute of the day and it can be a bit overwhelming to find one you're sure is a good fit for your style. I'd love to hear what others have to say :o)

I've never joined a club kit but have occasionally ordered a kit from Studio Calico without joining. What are the perks to being a member, aside from knowing you are actually going to get the kit and getting it a little bit cheaper?

I would love to know more about kit clubs...I don't really even know what they are. Are they a good deal? What do you get?

I would like to know which ones offer more than one pp in their kits. I don't really care to get 10-12 sheets of the same line.

Denise said...

I have belonged to the kit club at www.thetresureboxclub.com and loved it. I love getting ideas and completing pages quickly. I also love getting the kit in the mail. I've seen a lot of other kits out there, but I am overwhelmed with all of them. Do they come with ideas? Is the price worth it?

I would like to know if there are any minibook kit clubs. I am currently a member of a kit club that I actually love, the benefit being that I get product I can't find in my box stores here (and we don't have any LSS here) plus everything is coordinated. But I am interested in minibook kit clubs.

I love kit clubs - I belong to Studio Calico - which is fabolous!!! I just got my box of goodies today and love it - I am interested in anything to do with kit club. I really like Studio Calico for the kits, customer service and the message board is fanastic!

i want to know how people can just create with whats in a box. I cant imagine not reaching for something. I also want to know who is going to come out with a decent kit club under 20.00...with this economy i cant afford some of them

brenda j said...

I just joined studio calico and cocoa daisy. Literally over the past 2 weeks. I asked tons of questions and reviewed different message boards trying to decide. I did one kit from Cocoa Daisy before signing up and loved it. And my first studio calico kit showed up today. I love it too. i can't wait to play with them!!

mmm, i love kit clubs. I'm a subscriber of Studio Calico and each month when it comes to my door, i giggle and scream and pull everything out and drool.

I don't know that there's much I need to know about them. One thing I do like is when they have in-house designers and we get special things that you can't buy in stores. That's my fave!!

I'm on the design team for scrapbookdeals4u.com Its a kit club and absolutely fantastic. We would love you to review one of our kits! Personally, I love kits and think they are the way to go!

oh, I LOVE kit clubs. I love that it is all together. I love that it comes to my doorstep. I love the newness and the smell of paper...mmmmmm...I belong to a few...never can belong to too many!

kgscrapper said...

My favorite part of the Club Kits is that everything is coordinated. I live in a rural area and the LSS recently closed. When they were open however, they never seemed to have many coordinating embellishments. Sometimes I like to be able to be able to "whip something up" with out having to search through all my suppies finding things that match.

I am very interested in kit clubs. I have found that the only deterrent for me is the outrageous shipping costs. I have belonged to personal scrapper for a few months now and so far love it but would still be interested in different kits. Thanks!

I was in a "club" sponsored by CK. It was good for every 2 mos I got papers, stickers, idea card, all for 8 1/2 by 11 album. Stopped it after about a year because I found myself NOT utilizing! I would love to know what 12x12 clubs are out there that I can cut down to 6x6 or even 8x8 that aren't too "themey?" I would love to know HOW to make papers work together from different companies!!
Enlighten me please!!!

I am totally interested in knowing how to get a kit from the clubs that ALWAYS sell out (hello! Studio Calico). Can someone tell me how to get it???

lenore said...

I have been a member of Personal Scrapper for two years now and can't say enough good things about them. The kits are awesome and a great value!

GothamGal said...

I belong to Simply Cardstock, which is just bazzil cardstock--just started a month ago, too...

But I want to get a kit club, however, I want one that's of a low cost and has some really cool ideas and enough for a few projects. I've heard about the Bad Girl Kits, and studio calico. I would be interested in those, maybe.

Brynn said...

Kit clubs seem awesome! I really like intricate designs, it's great not to have to think about it! I'd like to find MORE kit clubs with stellar layouts. A Page For All Seasons does really well. Any others?!

Barbi said...

I'd love to hear about kit clubs that have the latest and greatest products in them.

Also, do any of the kits come with ideas too.....not just the products? Thanks!

Ravengirl said...

I have heard of them, but I don't really know what they are all about. I would imagine that one benefit would be better prices due to a greater volume sold?

SusieScrapper said...

I haven't belonged to a kit club, but I've never joined one because there's always things in them that I know I wouldn't use and would rather just buy things that I know I will use!

Chelsea said...

I'd like a good way to compare popular subs to see which ones have a lot of overlap -- that way, I can easily see which kits I can sub to without getting a lot of duplicate items. Some sort of giant scrappy Venn diagram of the last 6 months would be awesome!

Joli said...

I get kits from 2 places - Create My Keepsake and Mosh-Posh, both offer great kits. I love kits for a few reasons, other people think to mix products that I may not and I love getting parts of packages of stuff. For example, I love Maya Road shears, but I could never use an entire tin of them. With a kit I may get a few different shapes in different kits.

Gretchen said...

I'd like to see a kit club break down to see if it really is a good value or if it's just for the convenience of having it all selected for you. :-)

Grace Tolman said...

kit clubs are great. I'm really interested to find out which ones are the best for your buck? tia

I think the idea of kit clubs ROCK....but I hesitate to join because what if there is one month where I just don't "feel" the kit. Then I feel I have wasted my money. Any way around this??

meganklauerphotography said...

I have never done a kit club, so I would be so excited to see all the different companys that are out there!

melissa s said...

I would love to know what kits come with, and if you have to be a member for so many months....

Shay said...

I have way too many subscriptions to kits right now to see which I prefer (I haven't whiddled down the list as I feel like a child at Christmas opening a present each time a kit is delivered), but I love the mixture of products, exclusive items offered (I love when there are exclusively designed stamps which also helps inform which kits I prefer), inspiration, etc. I think the best thing is that I get a slew of a diverse amount of products from various companies I wouldn't otherwise purchase or even know how to find, or would be too hard for me to find locally (I would have to shop at 3-4 stores and may still not find what I am searching for). It means I also am not spending MORE on impulse buying either in person or online.

This is an American club, but I am Canadian and still find the value AWESOME!!

I would like to know which ones do you get the MOST quality products for your money. Are there any "build your own" type kit clubs out there? Do most people find they use everything that comes in the kits or do they only use have of it... and the other half just gets stashed...

arlsmom aka Lynda said...

LOVE kit clubs...I too at first was hesitant, but it is a great way to get a coordinated set of papers and embellies without having to do the shopping yourself. I design for Paper Popsicles which offers three kits each month and a card kit. The main kit is $25, two minis are $12.50...the card kit varies... you get a LOT in these kits and they are very much worth the $$. There is a great kit listing at WillowTraders where you can read about the kits and get peeks into which lines each one is carrying each month...kind of like one stop shopping.
LOVE Unity too...so pick me!!!

I would love to know about new kits! I am only part of the Unity kit of the month club but I bet I could find others that I would love too! Unity stamps rocks and this is an amazing prize!!

I like the ideas more than the supplies most of the time, so it is definitely a cost vs benefit for me before I will join one.

Hockeygirl19 said...

What are the REAL benefits of belonging to a kit club?
Do you get a "sneak peak" of the month to come and opportunity to pass if it's really not your style? Are you being afforded the "latest and greatest" before it hits the stores and maybe wouldn't be available to us otherwise? Tell us! Curious minds want to know!

whoistracy said...

I'd like to know if they're really worth it. Seems like they cost a lot more than the kit is actually worth. And sometimes the papers and embellishments are already in my stash. I'd like to know if people actually use them and how they rate.

I love looking at all the kits, but I never join because I can't afford that much every month. Someday, though, someday.

Wendy said...

I have been a member of a couple kit clubs. Both Personal Scrapper and The Scrap Room are a good value and allow skips. I prefer kits that have a mix of manufacturers' products. If all the papers are from the same company, well, I could do that myself.

I'm a KIT CLUB girl. I started way back when with Freckle Friends (so sad to see those beautiful girls go) and then signed on with Scarlet Lime. I must say they challenged me to really think outside the box...err..layout and the stuff is so unique! But now I am on to the hot new KRAFT GIRL KITS and live for it to arrive each and every month!

I'd like to see kit clubs available and their general "genre" or consumer appeal. For example, I do Unity and Paula's Kit Club. I do Unity, because they have a great selection for stampers AND scrapers...and Paula, because she is eclectic and appeal mostly to artists who like and use Ephemera more regularly.

But I don't know of other clubs and who they cater to.

Kit clubs fascinate me. I have never joined one but have been tempted many times. What holds me back is the cost--I scrutinize the product and then rationalize--"I'm not crazy about that paper or do I really need that ribbon?", etc. Then I tell myself, for the price of the kit, I could buy exactly what I like and know I will use...But do I ever do that? NO!
