Winter 2010 CHA Sneak: American Crafts "Dear Lizzy"

Yes, it's a day of partnerships! Elizabeth Kartchner has been a permanent and well-loved fixture in the scrapping world for the past few years. Having won the title of Creating Keepsakes' Scrapbooker of the Year in 2008, authoring books (like the recently published 52 More Scrapbooking Challenges), teaching classes and co-founding Spark, a women's crafty conference of sorts which takes place in Utah. Now it seems she will be adding one more creative outlet to her resume. The following announcement was just made on Elizabeth Kartchner's blog.

"I've teamed up with them (American Crafts) to develop the Dear Lizzy Spring paper and embellishments line...I love their style and they were one of the first manufacturers I designed for years ago making QVC samples. It worked out like magic and Jennifer, David as well as the rest of AC have been such a treat to work with. The line in its entirety will be revealed at CHA in Anaheim the end of this month but check out the Studio Blog today & the next couple weeks for sneak peeks."

What is it going to look like? American Crafts writes,

"Dear Lizzy is spring-themed, but it’s so versatile you can use it for everyday projects. The concept is an outdoor tea party, inspired by nature and childhood play – you’ll notice designs of darling flowers, trees and bicycles throughout.

This is the first time American Crafts has teamed with another designer to create a line, and Elizabeth worked closely with us to ensure a balance between our trademark look/feel and the feminine, playful touch of the designer herself."

And here's a sneak peek from the American Crafts blog using some of the new line.

I'm glad that they are gonna stay in the limelight! They are both very talented and it would be a shame to lose their inspiration.
