Product Showcase: Copic Markers & a Giveaway!!

{Reported by Ashley Harris}

Copics. Raise your hand if you have been dying to get your hands on these. Oooh oooh! Me Me Me! (Me frantically waving my hand.) I recently acquired these amazing pens for the purpose of this review. They are everything that I had hoped them to be. FABULOUS. Let me tell you why.

These pens are great because you can blend them and not tear up your paper. The idea of blending is that you want to saturate your paper with the lighter color first, then go over it with the darker shade with an equal saturation. After this, then go over with the lighter color again to get rid of the harsh edges. Another thing I really liked is when blending two colors, the lighter color does not become discolored. HUGE bonus.

What I made:

Materials: Cardstock: Bazzill Basics parakeet, OP White; Stamps: Unity Stamp Co., Copic Sketch Markers E29 Burnt Umber, YG03 Yellow Green, G17 Forest Green; Ink: Whispers by Sugarloaf, Rhinestones: Kaiser Craft, Ribbon: Misc

Materials: Cardstock Bazzill Basics OP White, Stamps: Clear and Simple Stamps, Ink: Whispers by Sugarloaf, Rhinestones by Kaiser Craft, Copic Sketch Markers V09 Violet, B05 Process Blue, RV29 Crimson, RV11 Pink, YR04 Chrome Orange, Y15 Cadmium Yellow, YG03 Yellow Green

Materials: Cardstock Bazzill Basics OP White, Swiss Dot Phoenix, Stamps: Clear and Simple Stamps, Rhinestones: My Mind's Eye, Copic Sketch Marker RV29 Crimson

Where and How Much:
Product: Copic Sketch Markers
Manufacturer: Copic
MSRP: $6.49 for individual marker
Available online: COPICmarkerS.com, Amazon.com, Jet Pens

My whole opinion is that these markers are great. The only drawback is the price, but you get what you pay for. I, personally, will continue to build my collection of these markers.

What do you think? Do you have Copics? Are they on your wish list? Let us know! Leave your comment here by noon EST on Thursday and be entered to win a prize from COPIC!

I have been stamping for many years but NOTHING has EVER inspired me more than seeing samples colored with these markers. I stand in AWE at my lss looking at the stamped samples colored with copics and want some SO BAD. Unfortunately as a single mom, they are a bit too expensive for me to start to collect and that makes me SO sad. Is it bad that I have considered giving up food for myself for a few days to afford a few of these to try out? LOL Winning this giveaway would make me GIDDY with excitement--AND I could still eat! ROFL

Thank you for the explanation on the blending. I have not been going it over again to blend, so now I know what I have been doing wrong. I have a few markers and I'm just trying to learn to use them and I am going to give yout technique a try in getting rid of the harsh line. Thank you again. :)
