Fancy Pants Road Show and TWO Give-aways!

{Reported by Noel Culbertson}

There is no denying that I am a big fan of the flourish. My husband probably thinks I should join a support group for it. Lucky for me there is a new Fancy Pants line {Road Show} to subtly indulge my obsession. Road Show is a overflowing with refined colors and the perfect amount of distressing. Of course, Fancy Pants makes sure you're supplied with every last little detail including double sided papers, journaling cards, strips, cardstock stickers, alphabets, ribbon, buttons, rub-ons and more. (A side note for the rub-on critics in the bunch. These went on flawlessly.) The line is wonderful for girlie girl layouts, but is subtle enough to use on masculine pages as well.

What I liked
1. The designs on each and every sheet of patterned paper.
2. The quote cards and strips that made easy work of titling my layouts.
3. The amazing pink embroidered ribbon. Wow! I think I need a 25 yard spool.

What I disliked
1. The alphabet, although fabulous, only had one capitol and two lower case of the letter "e". I could have used a couple more.
2. I would have liked one more pink paper option. There were a lot of blues and greens, and one more pink/red would have been nice.

What I made
This layout utilized the cards and strips, and a letter "e" from "dream". The cardstock stickers make for easy beautiful accents.

I love how easily the papers coordinate without overpowering each other. Believe it or not there are 7 pieces of patterned paper used on this layout.

I loved this clever chalk board frame patterned paper. I think it would make a fun background for a door sign, too. The flocked damask transparency is a great touch of texture without distracting from the other beautifully muted patterns.

I have always been a fan of Fancy Pants. With each collection, my pictures have been brought to a whole new level. What I see with this collection is some family moments and a few projects such as an altered book or maybe a paper bag album that is themed with my Hubby's happenings or moments I have captured!! And of course I will have to always slip in a few layouts of my daughter!!

Thanks for sharing

It's beautiful! I'm not sure exactly what I would do with it but it has tons of potential, good for vintage old photo pages, but also for new ones. I have some old photos on a black and white roll from when I was a child though that might work great with this. Thanks so much for the chance to win!

This line is beautiful. I'm already envisioning the LO I would make of my 2yo.

I love to scarp pictures of my little girl, especially dance pics. I loved using the Fancy Pants Dancing Girl line for bright fun pictures, but this line would be perfect for some black and white shots like you showed. I am glad to know that the rub-ons are up to par, I hate to waste my money on items that don't perform.

Fancy Pants has been knocking it out of the park for me lately! Thanks for the inspiration and a chance to win!

Sela said...

Love the colors! These would also go good with some papers that I've had for awhile and am having a hard time using up :)

Heather in AZ said...

I am beyond loving this line. Shabby and distressed is such a great look and Fancy Pants seems to be masters of it. I must agree the way those patterns blend and accent without one over powering is just genius. It means you have no fear of left over scraps that won't "go" with anything.

I think these papers would make great baby pages and I'd like to do a mini album for my middle girl she is half tom boy and half girly. I think this line is just the thing. I sort of like girlish things without a pink over load just for this reason.

Jingle said...

This looks like a really great line! Lots of color, but it all works well together!
