Kiki Art

{Reported by: Shelley Haganman}

For this post I will be reviewing products from the company Kiki Art. Kiki is actually the nickname that was given to this company's owner by her husband. The name refers to her inner child that likes to play her with arts and crafts. Kiki Art is based out of Montreal, Canada, and their products are influenced by different cultures and language. "We aim to transfer the multicultural perspective we experience everyday in to the creation of our products, so they can serve in the making of unique projects and layouts for people from around the world." Kiki Art is also striving to provide completely eco-friendly products. Kiki Art offers papers, embellishments (like buttons, trims, fun tape, and chipboard elements and an album). Kiki Art also has a blog you can visit that showcases some great projects. They also offer an e-newsletter and a FAQ spot to answer any questions regarding their products. Kiki Art's Design Team is a incredible collection of Canadian and international artists with some great inspiration using these great products! Be sure to join their Facebook Fan page and Twitter page!!

Ease of use: I really enjoyed the sturdiness of many of these papers. The colors are bright, the prints are fun. I appreciated how the collections coordinate with each other making it easy to mix and match.

Usefulness: Because of the uniqueness of these papers and the prints I think they make for a great versatile product that can be used for scrapping as well as card making or projects!

What I liked:

I really liked the uniqueness of these papers. The flocked paper was incredible and the prints were kind of quirky...but I liked that! I love how the papers worked well with each other making adding several layers to a page quite easy! I really loved the chipboard hearts and the fun tape (which is a little tape runner with different images). The eco-friendly aspect of these products is something else that I really appreciate.

What I didn't like:

Some of the prints might have been a little bit too "quirky" for my taste but I have seen some great work done with them (as seen on their blog). I had a little trouble with the fun tape but it was better once I got going.

Products used: DCWV cardstock, Kiki Art papers (Hot Air Balloon) and chipboard heart, Making Memories alphas.

I think it's really fun! I've never used it before (actually I've never heard about it until your post), but it looks like something I would really enjoy. As much as I dislike pink, the heart paper on the True Love layout is cute.

I have the privilege to be in one of the Kiki Art's DT (Spanish DT). Last week, I received my first package of products.
I'm very impressed with the papers' quality. Love the designs and bright colors.

Make sure to visit Kiki Art's blogs this weekend, as we'll be celebrating our fist blog hop, April 29 - May 3.
Lots of inspiration and prizes too.

I am excited to be on Kiki-Art's English design team this term. I too just got my product and I was so impressed with it..the paper is fantastic! A lot of it is double sided, it's thicker, some are glittered, some flocked, some embossed, great fun patterns and I think a lot more versatile then what you first think! The chipboard elements are a lot of fun and easily adaptable!

i like it, but the papers, for example the heart paper, i think that the colors are a litte poor.

The quality of the paper is perfect for pages or card or any project.

The funtape its nice, maybe a litthe "small".

I am one of the English design team members. From personal experience, Kiki-Art has high quality and very versatile papers and embellishments. The glittered chipboard is especially fun to play with! The colors are bright and cheerful, but they can also be toned down for many different looks. I hope everyone will give Kiki-Art a try!

I would have liked to see pictures of the products - like you do for most of the other reviews. It seemed like the only embies they had are the chipboard hearts.

the glitter embellies are to die for! and one thing that makes a great product better is the person behind it. Kiki is the nicest and most generous people I have ever met.

if your favorite store doesn't carry Kiki they should!

I am thrilled to be a part of the Kiki Art design team and can tell you that Kiki's approach to celebrating the cultures of the world are evident in her papercrafting products. She offers a wide variety of high quality paper that is sure to please. Her papers range from single sided to double sided with coordinating trim, buttons, and chipboard shapes. Speaking of chipboard, her chipboard shapes are of the best quality; no warping or glitter flaking from these hearts! Did you also see on her site that she has chipboard heart shaped albums, and jigsaw puzzle chipboard shapes...awesome products are just a click away!
I hope you'll seek out Kiki Art products and support this eco-friendly new company!
Ask for it at your local store or shop online...
