Lawn Fawn "Sew Lovely" & a give-away!

{Reported by Lain Ehmann}

Okay, disclaimer... I am NOT a stamper. So I was a wee bit nervous when I opened the package and saw... STAMPS! Yes, they are absolutely adorable:

...but would a mere mortal like me be able to do them justice? I was up for the challenge!

The first thing I decided to create was my own patterned paper. The stamp images were so adorable I wanted to use them all!

I stamped a bunch of images on a white sheet of cardstock and then trimmed it to size. Pretty cute if I do say so myself. (I am not a stamper. I am also not very shy. Haha!)

Supplies: Lawn Fawn "Sew Lovely" set, Ranger ink, Echo Park patterned paper, American Crafts brads, Stampin' Up! scallop border punch, 3Bugs in a Rug letters stickers, Scenic Route rub-ons.

Next, I had to make some cards, as the sentiments on the stamps were perfect for card-making:

Supplies: Lawn Fawn "Sew Lovely", Echo Park patterned paper, Fiskars circle punch and pinking shears, DMC floss, dimensional adhesive, handcut heart, Ranger ink

Supplies: Lawn Fawn "Sew Lovely," Echo Park patterned paper, Fiskars scallop punch, Creative Memories corner rounder, Ranger ink.

What I Liked:
  • Variety of sentiments and graphics that went well together
  • Great quality stamps that clung well and created a clear image
  • Unique graphics

What I Didn't Like:

  • The smaller images are tough for me to work with as a scrapbooker; one oversize image in the collection would have been fun and made it more versatile for scrappers and cardmakers
  • The style was a little froo-froo for me, as I tend to like bolder, linear images (but that's a style thing)

Where and How Much:

Product Name: "Sew Lovely"

Manufacturer: Lawn Fawn

MSRP: $15.00

Available at: From manufacturer, Limelightpapercrafts.com

What do you think? Let us know by midnight EST Tuesday and you will be entered to win some super fun Lawn Fawn stamps!! WOO HOO!!

Too cute! I'm not really into sewing, but have completely been drawn by the cute sewing-themed scrapbooking stuff that's come out this year (e.g. Cosmo Cricket's Material Girl). This stamp set will add to my collection.

I LOVE Lawn Fawn, their stamps are so darn cute, and they just had a blog hop with Hero Arts were there were some truly amazing (and one very romantic, hihi) projects shown.

I'm not a great stamper neither, but I see myself using those stamps to make my own journaling cards, and on tags and cards for my creative friends:)

These stamps are so cute and would make great cards and tags on their own or attached to a sewing project.
Very cute stamps.

This is a gorgeous stamp set. I can see how it is more a card maker's set than for scrapping, but I loved how it was used to make a custom background - what a great idea for other stamp sets as well!

very cute! I do a lot of sewing, so these would be perfect for me, especially since I'm trying to do more cards to go with my hand-made gifts.

Cute stamps, but I am not a stamper either. I have a few stamps, and I use them occasionally, but I don't go out of my way to purchase at stores and use them.

These are cute though. I do prefer more bold, thick lines however.

I struggle as a scrapbooker to incorporate stamps but I love how you made your own background paper. Gives me a great way to use stamps.

I think you did a great job with the stamps, Lain! Although I myself don't sew, I really love the sewing/stitching images that have made their way into scrapbooking. Thanks for sharing your cute projects with us!

I think these Fawn Lawn stamps are just too cute! Who wouldn't love a set of those? I'm relatively to stamping and card making in general - have been into scrapbooking for years - so these would make a nice addition to my repertoire!

I have quite a few stamps and I am not a great stamper either, but I sure do love the cute ones, and these are adorable. I do love to sew, but haven't had enought time to do a lot. I think these would also be cute stamped on envelopes for outgoing mail. I do like to do that when I send cards. Loved your projects.
