Bella Blvd. Family Dynamix

{reported by Sharyn Tormanen}

Bella Blvd Family Dynamix

When I opened this box from Bella Blvd., my creative brain when into instant overload. In the first minute I came up with five hundred and thirty-two different ideas. The primary colors supported so many different topics that I generally scrapbook, and both my sons AND my daughter! I couldn't wait to get started! The biggest problem was narrowing it down.

What I liked
  • I love the bright colors and the variety of patterns. Really a great mix
  • I love that while the line is geared towards home and family, the patterns make it easy to adapt to any subject
  • I love that it includes a fun whimsical alphabet that goes well with any of the patterned papers

What I didn't like
  • I've done a fair amount of reviews, and you'll find that I'm always very frank and honest about what I like and don't like - and you know, I'm sitting over here struggling to come up with just one thing that I didn't like. I loved this set!
What I made

021

Gingerbread House
I loved how I was able to add a whimsical touch to my son's gingerbread house layout. The alphabet had plenty of letters for me to create a long three e title, and I still have enough letters for more fun titling. It was also very easy to mix and match my pattern papers for these multi-color photos.

Mark
I'll be honest, I'm often envious of all the fabulous layouts created by scrapbookers who have mastered scrapping right on pattern paper. My safety net is a lot of cardstock with a little bit of pattern thrown in. BUT - these patterns made it easy for me. I love the mix and how everything goes together.

016
Sisters
I had fun doing a little bit of mixing and matching here, pulling in patterns, stickers, fussy cut paper, chipboard - and it all works. I really do love this line. (Is it okay to say that again?)

I just discovered Bella Blvd and LOVE it. Apparently she is right here in my hometown, too! Like you I have a hard time working with patterned papers, I worry it just looks to busy. But the Bella Blvd line makes it so easy. Patterned paper is becoming my friend! I did a great dinosaur layout using the Mr. Boy line and it gets lots of ooohs and ahhs when I show it to my friends.

You're right, the pattern papers are subtle enough to be able to use as the main background paper. I love that!

These papers are new to me. I have to agree with you, Sharyn, based on your LOs, these papers are extremely versatile. The patterned papers you have used would be essential to jus about any paper-crafter; they appear to work really well for the clean & simple styles, or the layer it on styles. Very trendy and cool!

Thank you for the opportunity to win this collection!
