Hambly Washi Tape

{Reported by Noel Culbertson}

Opening up a package of new scrap-goodies is always a great way to start your day. I've been dieing to try Washi Tape for quite awhile, but had yet to order any. Enter Hambly Screen Prints new Decorative Washi Tapes! What in the world is Washi Tape, you ask? Washi Tape is a semi-transparent Japanese paper tape - think adorable decorative masking tape.  It's a low-tack tape so you're able to reposition it on projects, or for temporary use on items such as jars or vases. Hambly definitely hit the nail on the head with their super cute combination of colors and patterns.

What I liked:
1. The trendy color pallet.
2. The very usable and unique patterns.
3. The ability to use and reposition the tape on any type of paper or surface.

What I disliked:
1. When I said low-tack, I mean low tack. If you reposition the tape a couple times it won't stick anymore.
2. The price point is a little high considering other brands of Washi Tape.

What I made:
I wanted to make a few projects showing the different materials the Washi Tape would adhere to. Shown here I worked with the Hambly Washi Tapes on lace, wood veneer, cardstock and glass.

I love Washi tape! It's just so fun. One of my favorite things to do is layer some on a piece of paper and then punch out a shape.
