The Crafter's Workshop & a give-away

{Reported by Ashley Harris}

Well happy Wednesday!  I am super happy to have The Crafter's Worshop templates on review today.  They had some great templates come out this last summer at CHA.   They worked with artist Julie Fei-fan Balzer and came out with some amazing designs.   So let me begin.

Ease of Use:  These are super easy to use!  Put a little glue dot or respositionable adhesive on the back of the template and you are good to go!

Construction/Durability: These templates are super good quality.  Be careful, though, some of them are pretty delicate and can easily be torn.

Usefulness: There are many ways you can use the templates.  You can mist them, use embossing powder, Copic spray, etc.  FUN!!

Cost effectiveness: From $3.99 to $6.99 these are a great prices!

What I liked:
-The great trendy designs they have available.
- Super easy to use.
- So many uses!  You think it, you can make it.

What I disliked:
-The only thing I disliked was some of the templates were super fragile.  That isn't really a complaint because the design was super detailed and it needed to be that way.

What I made:

Supplies:  Cardstock: Bazzill Basics OP White, Chipboard Alphas: American Crafts for Studio Calico; Mist:  Tattered Angels Chalkboard Peacock; Templates:  Clouds and Chickenwire: The Crafter's Workshop

For this 12x12 layout I layered the Chickenwire template over the Cloud template and misted them with spray mist.  I love the look!  I used both 12x12 and 6x6 templates on this.  SO fun!!

Supplies: Bazzill Basics OP White; Clear Stamps: Technique Tuesday Kids Are Cool set and Hero Arts Studio Calico You are here set; Ink: Close To My Heart Topiary and Amuse Studio Blackberry, watermark ink Versamark; Embossing Powder: White Zing by American Crafts; Template: 6x6 Chevron The Crafter's Workshop

For this 4x4 card I used watermark ink and then embossed the design.  After that I inked over it and I just love the texture!  Just another fun way to use the templates!

Supplies: Cardstock:  Bazzill Basics OP White;  Clear Stamp: Technique Tuesday Thanks for Everything set; Ink: Close To My Heart Hollyhock and Grey Wool, Versmark Watermark ink; Embossing Powder: White Zing by American Crafts; Pearls: Kasiercraft; Template:  Punchinella The Crafter's Workshop

For this fun tag card I didn't use any adhesive to hold it in place as I wanted it to move a little.  I used watermark ink and embossing powder again.  I like the more edgy, artsy look to this.

Where and How Much:
Product: Templates
Manufacturer:  The Crafter's Workshop
MSRP: $3.99-$6.99
Available Online:  Scrapbook.com, A Cherry On Top

Bottom Line:  I loved working with these! It was fun to see what I could create.

What do you think? Is this something you could see yourself working with?  Leave a comment by midnight EST on Thursday to be entered to win a prize pack from The Crafter's Workshop!   Be sure to put your email address in the comments so I may have a way to contact you!  Thanks!!

I LOVE that chickenwire design!! I'm always so blown away by people who use actual chickenwire on their projects.. but with this template there's no worry about storing such an awkward supply!

Very cool. I have some older Crafter's Workshop templates for doodling and circles, but these are so much better for misting and inking. Love your embossed chevron design!

Have been watching all the inspiration for these templates. Don't do much of this, but think I would like it for a card background for sure. They often look "empty"
