Bo Bunny Blitzen

{reported by Mindy Miller

Bo Bunny's recent product releases have sparked my interest -- especially the Blitzen collection -- so I was delighted to receive this assignment. Historically I have used bits and pieces of product from Bo Bunny, but this was my first time to create with an entire collection.

Blitzen is a seasonal line with a unique color palate of blues, reds, and greens that incorporates both Christmas and winter themes. Bo Bunny offers a wide variety of products in this collection including patterned paper, chipboard shapes, coordinating alphabet and stickers, plus jewels and other embellishments. You can see the entire collection here.

This collection presented a challenge for me because I typically create with a limited amount of patterned paper / embellishments and the line is heavy on both. Nonetheless, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Bo Bunny has included a variety of designs in this collection. It is easy to work with either the intricate and ornate pieces or to combine the more graphic elements to create a different look.

What I liked:
- I love the embellishments in this collectio
n. There are plenty in each pack, as well as a wide variety of interesting designs. The Blitzen jewels and buttons were favorites.
- I liked that I could adapt this collection to my style of crafting. I was honestly worried that the designs might be a bit too intricate, but the B-sides of the papers were my cup of tea.
- I especially like the fact that you can use this for C
hristmas or winter-themed projects.

What I disliked:
- Personally, I would be more likely to buy the patterned paper if there were not as many pieces with holiday images incorporated
into the design. This concept may be perfect, however, for crafters that want to use papers like this as a background.
- It was difficult to determine if the chipboard die cuts were supposed to be self-adhesive on the back side. I had to add adhesive, which really wasn't a big deal.

What I made:
I made a wintery layout and a seasonal card with this c
ollection. I enjoyed layering the products and including a variety of embellishments.

Supplies Cardstock: Bazzill - Patterned Paper, Stickers, Jewels, Buttons: Bo Bunny - Punches: Fiskars, EK Success, Marvy - Die cut: Silhouette - Tape: 7Gypsies - Twine: The Twinery

Bo Bunny

All-in-all I had a great time creating with this collection. It was outside of my creative box and I am pleased with the projects I created. I would definitely recommend it for crafters that enjoy themed papers or someone who is seeking a multi-purpose holiday collection that will stretch into winter projects.

I like that BoBunny did combine a winter look with a Christmas look. My problem with BoBunny is that they have so many beautiful papers in one line that I have a hard time deciding which papers to buy. I still want to buy an entire line someday and see if I can do an entire album with everything that I get.

At first I thought the line is too Christmasy for me but when I saw the layouts on BoBunny blog and here I really liked the colors. I think I should give it a try!

At first glance, Blitzen was too "Christmas" to me. But red, green, and blue are my go-to scrappy colors, I love what Mindy created, and I know I could make fun stuff with the versatile B sides of this line. And what I really love most about what you show in this post are the coordinating BoBunny Double-dot papers. LOVE them!
Thanks for the chance to win- good luck to everyone!

I like it! I've got a few sheets and the chipboard and while some of the bigger images on the paper was a little harder to work with, I eventually figured it out. ;)
