My Minds Eye- Lost and Found Two (Sunshine)

{reported by Liz Hicks}

I have to say... I am a little biased when it comes to My Minds Eye's Lost and Found collection because I just fell in LOVE with it from the first time I saw it. When I found out I was up to review it, I was really excited especially when I opened my box and found the beautiful yellow (sunshine) collection was delivered to me.

So with this disclaimer in hand... I have tried to objectively review the collection as a whole, I hope you find it helpful :)

What I liked:
- The color combos are amazing. The vintage hues with golden yellow and a hint of aqua are just stunning.
- The embellishment variety is outstanding. I loved having a variety of options when it came to embellishments.

What I disliked:
- now this is a stretch for me, but the one thing I would have enjoyed was having some sort of alphabet letters to work with. I also would have loved to have had a little more of the aqua in the collection, but in all honesty... even with these little things, the collection as a whole is remarkable and extremely user friendly.

What I made:

With this collection I made a set of greeting cards. The yellow of this collection is so inviting that I really felt the just thing to do with it all was to make greeting cards that could share a little bit of this collections sunshine with others.

Where and How Much:
Product:  My Minds Eye- Lost and Found two (Sunshine)
Manufacturer: My Minds Eye
MSRP: $0.59-$5.99
Available Online: Scrapbook.com, a Cherry on Top

Bottom Line:
This line is a good balance of luxury and vintage. If you like your vintage to sparkle and shine... than this is a collection that will work for you. The nice thing about this collection is that it is very universal, it can be used for any theme and the thick cardstock will work for a variety of papercrafting projects.

What do you think?  I have to say that the yellow at first for me was not something I would go for. After seeing this collection in person though, the yellow didn't bother me, in fact I fell in love with the gorgeous hue of the yellow glitter on this collection. What do you think of the yellow? Does it work for you, would you give it a try? Leave a comment by midnight PST Friday including your email address, to be entered to win a prize pack from My Mind's Eye!  U.S. residents only.

Honestly, at first glance this series seemed awfully YELLOW!

But, what you've done with it shows that though there is a lot of yellow, it's actually very deliciously caramel-y and butterscotch-y, too!

Awesome!

I might have to try out more yellow soon. :)

The yellow I see on my computer has a definite gold tinge to it. The shade looks very user-friendly to me - not too bold.
