My Mind's Eye Indie Chic

{Reported by Ashley Harris}

Rarely do I have the pleasure of finding a collection that I like all of it.  With Indie Chic, that happened for me.  The color palettes are amazing.  I thought that because their patterns are very 70's inspired, I wouldn't like it at all.  I was DEAD wrong.   Truly, come see what I mean!!

What I liked:
-Virtually everything.   I love the patterns in this collection!  They are tight patterns that make it very easy to work with as a scrapper and a card maker.
-I really like the chipboard stickers.  Some are layered and others aren't.  Their adhesive is perfect.  no falling off the pages!
-I love love love their decorative tape.  Stunning.  Beautiful prints that make the project complete! TO DIE FOR!!

What I didn't like:
-Okay I have one complaint.  Just one.  The stamps.  I love the designs, but the quality isn't the best.  They get the job done, but I would like to see these wonderful images in a better quality clear stamp.

What I made:
Saffron Collection

Ginger Collection

 Citron Collection

Nutmeg Collection

Supplies:  Kaisercraft rhinestones on Saffron Inspiration card.   All other products My Mind's Eye Indie Chic; Image Credit: Mehgan Kesti

Where and How Much:
Product:  Indie Chic Collection
Manufacturer:  My Mind's Eye
MSRP: $0.60-$9.99
Available Online:  A Cherry On Top*, Two Peas In a Bucket, Blue Moon Scrapbooking

Bottom Line:  I am absolutely smitten with this collection.  All of it.  This never happens to me and when it does I hoard every bit of it.  This collection sparked some crazy creativity in me that I just loved!

What do you think? Is this a collection you must have, like me?  Or is it just meh for you?  Leave a comment by midnight EST on Thursday to be entered to win the Citron line.   U.S. residents only and please leave an email address where you can be contacted.

Loving these prints, and your projects are GREAT! A little disappointed to hear that about the stamps, I'm a big stamp fan, and since that's the gift that keeps on giving - it's still around even after you've used up everything else, it would be nice if they were a little better. BUT, I'm so happy that they came out with those great tapes!

I have to say Citron is my favorite color combo. It's always amazing to me how BIG the MME collections are!

Love the Indie Chic tape patterns, so it's great to know they get your vote. Interesting to know about the MME stamps...I'd been tempted to buy a couple sets because of the cute designs, but I'll be more wary if there are quality issues.

Thanks for the review!

I am not a big stamp fan anymore (I have way too many and never use them) so I don't worry about them. I love the colors and designs of the paper, embellishments and tape!

This looks like a bunch of great papers for layouts. The tape looks really cute, and I'd like to try it out on lots of different projects. What is it about the stamps' quality that you don't like?

Natasha G.P. said...

The papers seem very versatile--not specific to age, gender, occasion, etc. so it seems like they would get a lot of use. I like the colors a lot--they are just my style. Citron is similar, so I really hope that I win!
