Mini 8 Border and Corner Scalloped Circle Punch by We R Memory Keeper

(Reported by Becky Williams)

Good morning!

Today I get to review a fun new product, the Mini 8 scalloped circle punch from We R Memory Keepers. I don't know if I would have bought this punch on my own before but now that I've  been able to try it I really like it!

Ease of Use: very simple once I figured out how it worked

Construction/Durability: Seems to be made very well, sturdy punch

Usefulness: great for punching 6x6 papers for use on cards, layouts and other scrappy projects.

What I liked:
-Punched cleanly every time
-fun punch design
-comfortable lever handle

What I didn't like:
-Sometimes bits of paper got caught in the corner of the punch
-I'd never used this kind of punch so I wasn't sure at first how to use it to make a circle. I quickly figured it out, though. Simply cut your paper to 6 inches square or use a 6x6 paper pad (this punch makes a 6" circle) and then punch each corner, then flip paper over and do the rest.

What I made:

Supplies: patterned paper from Studio Calico, My Mind's Eye, Pebbles Inc. Stickers from My Mind's Eye and October Afternoon, twine from Pick Your Plum.

Supplies: Paper and stickers from Crate Paper, large alpha stickers by American Crafts.
Zig Zag punch from EK Success.

Where and How Much:
Product: Mini 8 Border and Corner Punch: scallop
Manufacturer: We R Memory Keepers
MSRP: $19.99

Bottom Line: Once I figured out how to use this punch I really liked it and can see myself using it on scrappy and non-scrappy projects in the future.

What do you think?  Let us know what you think!  Is this something you want to add to your punch collection?

I think this circle would be very useful! Thanks for the info!

I found that if you picked up the larger punch each time you punched and shook all the pieces out of it that you didn't have much of a problem with paper getting stuck in it. The stuck paper can really hinder the cut.

These look fun, although I'm not sure I have the space, they look pretty big.

I definitely like the shape of this one better than the one yesterday - kind of reminds me of a doily! Thanks for the review!
