Say what?!? Totally!! So excited about this!
From the press release:
OREM, Utah – October 29, 2012 – American Crafts announces its partnership
with Becky Higgins to manufacture, sell and distribute Project Life brand
products to retailers.
Previously only available online, Project Life is a
popular, back-to-basics approach to memory keeping that Higgins created to
simplify the process, allowing users to complete more pages in less time. The
system has created a noticeable movement in the memory-keeping industry.
“I’m incredibly passionate about people
turning their everyday stories into something tangible they can enjoy and share
with others,” Higgins said. “I developed Project Life out of my own desire to
take the fuss out of scrapbooking. I see how it’s such a blessing to so many
people, and have had a deep desire to get this life-changing concept in the
hands of even more people. I’m confident American Crafts will do an amazing job
of getting Project Life into places where more scrapbookers can see and touch
and even experience the products.”
Under
the terms of the agreement, Becky Higgins will continue to oversee the design,
development and marketing of all Project Life products, as well as
independently operate her website and blog. Project
Life products will continue to be available direct-to-consumer online as they
have been since 2009.
Jeff
Mitchell, president of American Crafts, says his company is excited to work
with Higgins to make sure more people are able to discover, use and enjoy the
simplicity of Project Life.
“Becky
has created something really unique that helps people capture their memories in
an efficient and attractive way,” Mitchell said. “Project Life is the answer a
lot of people have been looking for when it comes to recording their memories,
and we’re excited that American Crafts can play a role in that solution.”
Project Life’s core offering consists of
12x12 D-Ring Albums, a Core Kit filled with designer journaling cards and big
packs of Photo Pocket Pages. Customers pair pictures and
words with these three basic products to tell their story in a simple,
organized, stylish format. Additional products are available to those
interested in expanding beyond the core system with decorative touches.
New Project Life products will be on display in the
Becky Higgins booth #2628 at the Craft and Hobby Association trade show in
Anaheim, Calif., in January. It is anticipated retail-ready product will begin
shipping in April.
Retailers who wish to placed on a priority pre-order list can do that by contacting their American Crafts sales representative at (800) 879-5185. Or retailers can fill out a short web form and be added to the same list.
