Amy Tangerine Embroidery Stencil Kit

{reported by Daniela Dobson}

Embroidery Stencil kit - Capture by Amy Tangerine from American Crafts. This kit comes with two sheets of stitching patterns (total of 15 different stitching patterns). In addition, the kit comes with a paper piercer, protective mat, needle (3) and thread (3).

What I liked: I love that there are so many patterns to choose from. The stitching sheets are made from durable plastic and are see-through. You can see where to pierce the holes, and you can see your project underneath the stencil. I love that it comes with a mat and it's own piercer. Perfect for those who do not own any stitching supplies and want to try it out. It comes with three needles, one for each thread color. The needle eye is pretty large, and really easy to thread.

What I disliked: There are no instructions that come with this kit. I know the basic stitching techniques and I was able to figure it out. It might be difficult for those that have not stitched before and want to try this on their projects. My kit came with two pink and one aqua colored thread and I felt limited in the color choices. I have a huge stash of embroidery thread and I was able to add additional colors to my projects.

Supplies:  Embroidery Stencil Kit. Cardstock: Bazzill Basics Paper, Patterned paper: My Mind's Eye, Jillibean Soup label sticker, Therm O Web adhesive, Heidi Swapp Color Shine, Jenni Bowlin washi tape, button.

Bottom line: if you are looking for something different to add to your projects, this is it. Fun and easy to do.

I have not seen this! I have tons of embroidery floss left over from yeas of cross stitching. Maybe this would be a way for me to use it up.

I haven't used them, but i Have friends that have. I think they make an interesting embellishment that is fun and different from the normal. And the price isn't too bad (probably worth the price but not a huge bargain).
