Vicki Boutin Art Crayons from American Crafts

Hi, everyone!
I'm here to talk to you today about the Vicki Boutin Art Crayons from American Crafts.
These crayons come in packs of eight, and there are three collections available: Warm; Cool; and Neutral.
They are essentially crayons for adults. You can use them on cards and scrapbook pages (and art journals too)!
They are oil pastel art crayons, which means they are super creamy.
And here's something cool about them: They can be used wet or dry. You can use them on their own or you can pair them with stencils and stamps!

What I liked:

* The size of these crayons. They aren't too big and they aren't too small.
* A little bit of coverage goes along way. They are going to last awhile.
* The packaging! They come in a box, which has a plastic holder that holds the crayons safely. Love this because none were open broken when I opened the boxes. Plus the plastic is great for long term storage for one who doesn't like their crayons rolling around in a box.
* Great assortment of colors.
* Good tool for those wanting to get their hands wet in mixed media. Affordable and easy to use!

What I disliked:
* I wish I had even more crayons to work with. I loved the these ones and hope there will be more colors in the future! (Are you listening, American Crafts?)

What I made:

Here I scribbled the crayons onto watercolor paper and then spread the colors with water. Once the paper was dry, I die-cut the leaves from it.

For this card, I cut a thank you word from some of the Vicki Boutin Mixed Media Foundations Paper and applied color to it with the crayons and water. The paper is 140lb and super study. The crayons took wonderfully to it.

For this card, I drew lines with the crayons onto it to create the rainbow. I used my finger to spread the colors completely across the card.

Thank you for the info. I have some crayons but not Vicki's. I would love them for the mixed media canvases I make.
